<title>Atomic RAR Password Recovery Reviews RSS Feed</title>
        <link>http://atomic-rar-password-recovery.atompark-software.qarchive.org</link>
<description>Atomic RAR Password Recovery is a software designed to restore the password for the archives created by WinRAR. Due to the structure of the RAR-file, encryption in RAR is quite strong, so the password can not be found instantly as it takes a lot of resources. The speed of the password search depends on the archive version. Password restoring procedure for RAR 2.xx archives is much faster then for the RAR 3.xx ones.

Brute-force attack generates the list of passwords using all available symbols and checks them one-by-one. It's slow method, but only it can guarantee the password recovery. Brute-force attack can be used if your password is less than say 5 characters, otherwise, password recovery can take months! In fact, the longer your password is, the longer it takes (exponentially)!

Hey! If your password is a known word (not name or so) then there is a way out. You should use Dictionary attack. This method could speed up things to about 1/2 an hour. You can get Dictionaries (word lists) on the Internet. Under the Dictionary attack all provided passwords are checked.

Atomic RAR Password Cracker has a friendly user interface. It has a wizard which helps you to find the password in the fastest way. The program is able to save a current state (you can interrupt the program at any time, and restart from the same state later). Estimated time calculator allows you to configure the program more carefully.</description>

The downfalls of this program are: slow machine performance and also there is a problem with finding passwords of more than 2 characters. Finding a 2 char pass can take about 4 min in the worse case. But what if the pass is 5 or 6 chars??? It can take hours to find them.
The program found for me a 2 char password for a RAR archive.

To be honest I have tried to use it and I can't get the program to work correctly. Apparently I need to use some sort of dictionary for characters, and I need instruction on selecting character parameters.

with a password that was self dealt i.e. GlObEtRoTtEr, it failed to find the password and took hours of processor time on a 3.8 gig machine with 1 gig mem.
Not impressive.

I was unsatisfied in using trial version of rpr. Not enouph features to really put it to a test. I had downloaded a rar file which once completed I found was crypted and coudn, t unlock it. Searching for a solution I found your program but its limited version could not unlock the file, so bying a program in the hope that it works for me is a risk I prefer not to take. Will continue to search for a solution. My regards.

Although the file used for password recovery was described as winrar [archive]
Atomic RAR would not recognise the file as such, therefore would not work.
Atomic RAR has now been uninstalled &amp; deleted from system
